OH MY GOD - EVENTS

Akshay Kumar play the modern day Lord Krishna in his forthcoming film Oh My God and its first look reveals the star riding a motorcycle through the clouds with a bright colorful sky in the background.After taking audiences on a laughter ride in Hera Pheri, Akshay has teamed up with Paresh Rawal in his production venture Oh My God.

Two posters gives a sneak peak into film and the second one shows Paresh, who plays Kanahaiya, standing with a smile on his face and gods and goddesses surrounding him.Based on Umesh Shukla's Gujrati play Kanji Viruddh, the Oh My God is about unconventional happenings in normal day to day lives. First time director Ashvini Yardi has wielded the megaphone for the film

It was a musical extravaganza on the popular singing reality show, Indian Idol,. The stars of the film OMG OH MY GOD!, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, released the music of their upcoming film on the show. Legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who is also one of the co-judges, unveiled the music of the film along with the two stars of OMG OH MY GOD!

The promos of the film have garnered a lot of praise, with the track 'Go Go Govinda' turning out to be a chartbuster. Promos of songs such as 'Hari Bol' and 'Mere Nishaan' have also been much appreciated by the masses.The two actors had a blast on the sets of the show. Akshay Kumar crooned a devotional song titled 'Nirgun Raakh' to a packed house. He also joined Anu Malik for a jig to one of his popular numbers from the 90s, 'Chura Ke Dil Mera'.

OMG OH MY GOD!, starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Mithun Chakraborty, is about Kanji Mehta (Paresh Rawal), an atheist, who sues God because an earthquake destroys his antique shop. Amidst his legal tussles, he runs into Krishna Vasudev Yadav (played by Akshay Kumar), a man who claims to be God. What follows is a journey of epic proportions, of self-realization and legal masterstrokes.

This movie has generated lot of controversy over the depictions of prominent Hindu gods and Indian spiritual traditions. Jalandhar's State Mahila Congress vice president Nimisha Mehta has lodged a complaint against the lead actors, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar who are also the producers of the film, for hurting Hindu's religious sentiments and also sent a notice to them.The notice asked them to delete objectionable scenes and dialogues. Akshay Kumar has been given police protection, after this notice.

The film, directed by Umesh Shukla, is based on the popular play 'Kishan vs Kanhaiya'.OMG Oh My God is releasing on 28th September, 2012.
